Honda has revealed the production-ready CR-Z at the Detroit Motor Show
Honda are very keen to catch up with Toyota in the hybrid car wars. The Honda Insight was their answer to the Prius (although better looking it was even more woeful to drive than the Prius) and Honda are now looking to move in to the ‘Sporty’ Hybrid market with the Honda CR-Z. Honda revealed the CR-Z back in October at the Tokyo Motor Show, and did the usual new model think of labeling it as a concept.
These are the first official pictures of the new high-performance BMW Z4 sDrive 35is, unveiled today at the Detroit motor show. A bit of a mouthful (that's BMW's new nomenclature for you), but it's essentially the fastest, hardest Z4 to date since the recently departed M roadster curled over and died.The Z4 sDrive 35is uses Munich's existing 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six, tweaked to produce 335bhp and 332lb ft of the twisty stuff all the way from 1400-4500rpm. That's one flat torque curve, and a 29bhp jump over the regular sDrive35i.
The Jaguar Roadster is on its way
We have known for quite some time that Jaguar are working on a Roadster. Especially since it’s claimed to be a project close to the heart of Ratan Tata – ultimately, ‘Mr Jaguar’. But we now have the clearest indication possible after Carl-Peter Forster – Tata Motors Group Boss - confirmed this week that Jaguar are working on a Jaguar Roadster, as well as considering a BMW 3 Series competitor.
